When I picked up this book with "120 Golf Lessons" I was expecting bite-size tips on the game of golf. Not the case. The author goes into great detail on just about every aspect of the game and orders the lessons in chronological order. This can help someone new to the game as it starts with history, rules, purchasing equipment, etc.I don't typically like reading about golf and prefer to watch videos to try and correct swing issues, but the author does an excellent job of breaking down golf mechanics and principles in print.
I will recommend this book to new golfers as a companion to learn the game and keep it handy for when my own golf game goes astray.

Great book for someone new to the game. The book covers many facets of the game and should be required reading for first-timers.
This book is well written and easy to understand. The author covers all aspects of the game of golf from clubs to swing. No matter if you're a beginner or seasoned player, this book definetely has something for you. I highly recommend checking this book out if you're into golf already or are looking for a new hobby.
Ok, this author hit a "hole in one" with this book for sure. Whether you're a beginner, novice or pro, you will benefit from this book. It's well written, covers all facets of the game and would be an excellent Christmas gift. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys the game of golf or thinking about playing sometime. Brilliant idea and great book.
Very Informative!
Finding this book to be very useful. A word of caution if you plan to read it through your for Ipad application the table of contents will not work and this is a major inconvenience.
Before I read this book, I had no idea how to play golf. I found that the book was good, but very basic. If you know how to golf, get a different book. But, if you never played I would recommend it.
This is an excellent book for the beginner, covering a multitude of items basic skills, etiquette, common sense applications surrounding the golfing environment. The experienced golfer may find much to be obvious.
It must have been originally written some ten years ago I suspect. The author states that steel spikes on golf shoes should be replaced regularly (only a few pros now wear steel spikes in competition). He also states that laser range finders cost $3000.00 (they now cost under $300). Some of his estimated pricing on clubs also do not conform to today's costs.
Omit those items and the beginner will find this book to be enlightening.
